Help Plz Help Bose Speaker Question
I HAVE A 95 MAXIMA WITH A BOSE SE SYSTEM THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE DOOR AND DRIVERS SIDE BACK SPEAKERS ARE BLOWN, THE DEALER IS TRYING TO CHARGE ME $440.00 PER SPEAKER, I FOUND A PLACE (1-800-511-3343) THAT HAS BOSE REPAIR KITS FOR LESS THAN A $100.00 ALL I NEED IS THE ACTUAL CONE SIZE SOME PEOPLE SAID THE ACTUAL SPEAKER IS 4" BUT SOME PEOPLE SAY 6" PLZ SOMEONE TELL ME THE RIGHT SIZE, THEREFORE ALLOWING ME TO ENJOY THE SUMMER WITHOUT BLOWN SPEAKERS. IF THE KIT IS GOOD, AND WORKS WELL I'LL POST EXACTLY WHAT THE STEPS ARE, SO FOR ALL THOSE THAT NEED TO DO IT CAN!!!!!!!!!!!

You could buy new speakers, aftermarket, and get a converter that connects the BOSE system to the aftermarket speakers...I dont know about fixing the BOSE, I'm getting rid of my BOSE and having a complete aftermarket system put in...Maybe you would want to buy my BOSE speakers from me...They are 6 1/2s all around...

The doors have oversized 6.5" speakers (called 6.75" speakers), as well as the rear speakers. The least expensive fix would be to remove the blown speakers and have them re-coned (assuming it's the speakers and not the amps, that's a different story). In the Bose systems, each speaker has it's own individual amplifier. They can be mighty expensive to replace.

I also posted some pics of a recent install on my website:

(btw, don't use CAPS in your message; difficult to read and bad etiquette. I know you are mad b/c of the prices!)
