CD Changer Under Seat

Hi. Has anyone put a CD changer under the driver POWER seat? I just picked up a 12 Disk and I am having second thoughts...I think a 6 might fit, but I think the 12 is too much. Does anyone have anything like this?

Thanks,
Erik

CD Changer underseat

tifosiv122,

I have a 10 disc Kenwood under my passenger's seat as it's easier accessibility from the driver's seat and with the drivers seat being powered I don't believe there was enough clearence for the install on my side.

The newer changers are far more capable of being mounted in more obscure places i.e. glove compartment, center console, due to their ever deminishing size.

Depending on model and size, I'd be hard pressed to say it can't be done, but experience tells me it would be a tight fit.

Thanks. I have my master unit for my system under the passenger seat. It is also powered but posed no problem. My glove box is taken up by my nitrous and I have 2 12's in the trunk so I don't think the CD changer would fair too well back there. This is really my only option.

How about inside the hand-rest compartment?? Can you get a small enough CD-Changer for that?

i dont know what your sub set up is but you could possibly mount it in so the magazine pops out through the arm rest inthe back seat

Hand rest box has my fire extinguisher.

The box is too close to the ski hole to mount anything...

It's really my only option.

I got my CD-changer mounted under a passenger seat too. I can just reach out from the driver's seat and open it

I saw people puuting their changers into the glove-box. Very convenient.

Don't like CD-changers. they sell CD holders which you can put over your sun-shield.

Vadim, where you from?

Have you ever looked under the driver power seat? That will answer your q. Glove boxs work on some instances, though with the new ones it would take some work. Armrest insn't gonna work it's not long enough.
