Question about component install.....
Question about component install.....
I just bought the new Polk EX3 components for my 1998 SE, I was wondering where the best place to mount the crossovers are...The owners manual says NOT to mount them in the doors because of weather damage...Wheres the safest/best place to mount them ??? Thanks
There is no reason you cant mount them in your door panels. There should be no worry about weather damage. One of Nissans Stock tweeter locations is in the doors. I Mounted my tweeters in the doors and havent had any problems. The only other places that are easy are the A-piller or the sail panel. (triangle piece Where the side mirrors are.)

If you are mounting the tweeters in the doors then the xovers in the doors isn't so bad. If you're mounting them in the a-pillars or somewhere else then you'll need to not only run speaker wires into the door but also out of the door as well. So take that into consideration too.
