Adding Amplifier to Stock Bose Head Unit

Does anyone know if it's possible to connect an amplifier and subwoofer to the existing Bose Head Unit of a 4th Generation Maxima?

The easiest way is to just tap the rear speakers and use a convertor. I can't think of the name off the top of my head, but my system is wired this way. It's not the best method (as compared to running from the headunit), but if you just want to add a single sub or two it does the job. I have some pictures if you want them.

Check out AudioLink for the converters. I'm using the PD-4.

I don't know why this thread was moved since it is relevant and not super audio related, but whatever. Here's the way I did everything.
Hope it helps
