Bassand Amp Recomendation

Hello all!
I have a pretty important question for you. I am looking for a VERY loud system and a VERY good sounding system at the same time. Now i want to get 3 12" subs..... but here lies the problem. I want to know what everyone recomends as far as what type of subs and amps i should get and what the best setup would be for this sort of thing. Also if you could just post like what other recomendations you would have in regards to if 3 12's is too much or not enough or if i should go with 2 15's etc etc. I'd appreciate all the feedback i can get.
Thanks alot
Greg

2 Jl audio 13w7's powered by 2 jl audio 1000/1 amps. In a sealed 1.5 cu enclosure per sub...very loud very expensive but probley what your after...if thats too much theres many many many many many many other options...perhaps breaking it down a little more of what oyu want would help.

In addition to this, have you heard a single, double, or triple 12 setup in a Maxima? I personally think the 13W7 would probably be happier with more power than the JL 1000/1 amp can provide. You might also want to mention your price range. A good twelve starts around $200 to $300 and works it's way up. That's without a box, terminals, carpeting or glass, wiring, etc.

as a matter of fact money really isnt an option. My best friends sister just enherited 5.5 million from her grandmothers death and she said she would pay for anything i want to do as far as audio for my car. as far as the double 13w7's runnin off of the JL 1000/1 amps, that sounds pretty interesting to me, could you possibly give me a little more information about that sort of a setup. but jmax what did you mean bout "have you heard a single, double, or triple 12 setup in a maxima". i'm just wonderin what you meant by that. As far as what i am lookin for.....let me explain my situation a little bit. I just got my max('98 forest green) and am startin to think bout modding it. I know that the first thing i want to do to it is the audio portion. And coincidently, as i said above, i have a perfect way for payin for whatever i want as far as audio goes. For my system i am lookin for my car once i get it modded, to be more of a show car than racing. Thats why i want my system to be pretty d**n loud. But i dont just want it loud, i want it to be a quality system too. So the responses i got for the dualing 13W7's sounds pretty good. Hope this information helped

If your girl is dumb enough to give you that kind of dough go for it...One Jl audio 13w7 with one jl audio 1000/1 amp another jl audio 13w7 with another jl audio 1000/1 amp thats alot of power to each and will be as loud as I'm sure you want it if not much much more. Each sub is 950 a peice each amp is $1100..So for the subs and amps alone your looking at about $4100..With this your gonna need 2 gauge power wire 12 or 10 gauge speaker wire, a new battery would be good, fuses, and a good head unit...I recomend getting all new mid/tweets for the car too, cuz you woun't hear them with those subs and that power.

What I meant was that a single average 12 can be loud as $4it. So three high quality 12's can really kick. It's a matter of taking the time to do it right. And that doesn't mean paying top dollar for an install. There's a difference between top dollar and top quality. But knowing the difference is half the battle and takes a long time to learn. As far as SQ mixed with SPL the 13W7 is a good one to choose. Not that there aren't others, because there definitely are. But the W7 will definitely be near the top, but below Phase Linear in the 'status' department. The wireing alone for a system of this type will easilly be in the hundreds, even if you go the bargain route.

Why don't you mention where you live so that you can get a few of your Maxima compatriots to give you a hand with the install. If she really has all that dough, it could be benefitual to all. Maybe get at least one car in a few Mag's.

Well in regards to where i live. I live in Arizona. To be exact, a little town called ahwatukee. It is south of phoenix. Now the girl who has all the money lives in IL. I am probably going to be takin a roadtrip back to chicago over the summer so that i can either pick up the money from her there, or just get the whole system installed there.

Make sure you find a good installer. One who knows the equipment that he/she will be installing, as well as cars and electronics in general. Otherwise 99% of the money you spend could be a waste. In case you havn't noticed, there are few good installers. At least they aren't in Virginia. But between Il and Az you should be able to find one.

I don't quite understand your "q"...The speakers I recomened are the jl auido 13w7's to each be powered by the jl auido 1000/1 amp. Or do you mean for the mids/tweets...What would I recomend?

I'll asume your gonna put them in the factory location, that being the case anything in the high end such as The Quart Qsds, rainbow, etc is kinda pointless...With the idea of stock locals in mind I would suggest the Eclipse 8062 their only $350 for the set...or Diamond Audio M661 which are also 350...with those in mind for the front stage and since your planning at this point to run jl auido amps I say stick with jl audio for the mid/tweet amps as well and go with a 300/4 which provides 75x 4 watts. So to wrap it all together heres the list...

Jl audio 13 w7($950)-----Jl audio 1000/1 ($1100)
Jl audio 13 w7($950)-----Jl audio 1000/1 ($1100)
Eclipse 8062 ($350)-------Jl audio 300/4) ($550)
Then you need a head unit as well if you don't have one, wires, battery, fuses, box, labor all on top of this equipment.
