Eclipse Aluminum and Soundstream Amp
I have an eclipse aluminum 12" powered by a soundstream rubicon bridged to 1000w @ 4 ohms. My question is how loud should I be able to get this? I dont have a db meter so I'm not sure... but shouldnt a single woofer with this setup be able to hit so hard you can feel it pounding your chest? or does 2 subs make a huge difference? Also, I have a 3rd gen max and it seems to insulate the sound quite a bit... has anyone taken out the plastic behind the armrest? I was wondering if that might be dampening the sound. I've done both sealed (.85cuft and 1.0cuft) and ported (2.85cuft). Porting it made a big difference but it feels like it should be doing more... Any input appreciated.
