Trunk problem, please help

If any of you have taken off that felt covering that is attached to the trunk lid (it has like 13 black pegs you have to pop off to get the covering off) well, i have accidently snapped 2 of them off, and the piece that is in the trunk have flown in there so now 2 of them are inside the trunk lid, just jiggling around making some nice rattles when my bass hits. Any recommendations to get those SOB's out?

thanks

how about get a thin stick and stick some duct tape at the end to try to fish it out. If not, you can always unbolt the 4 bolts, take off the lid, ans shake them out.

I'd try that too... and if you're having a problem finding them, get a mirror and a flashlight so you can spot them. You can also just try swinging the lid up and down rapidly and hope for them to fall through the openings...

how about one of those slinky-type grabbers...

..you know, the ones that you can bend in just about any direction, and you press a button on one end (like a hyperdermic needle) and these three metal fingers come out the other end. Let go of the button and the 'fingers' retract. I have one of those, and it only cost about $5 at your local auto parts store. I've used mine on a couple of occasions and it's been a really handy tool to have, especially when you drop something in the engine bay that you can't reach with your hands. If you can see them, you could get them out with one of those tools.

well, figured it out. Did it the cheapest way possible. Openeded teh trunk, pounded on the underneath part (where the tail lights are) and wallah, 2 pieces fell out. They were in the right place at the right time.

thanks for the suggestions though

I wonder if one of those things will work well for grabbing at leaves stuck inside your fender...
