Cadence Q3000 amp and JL12w3 sub

Hey guys, I wanted to double check some stuff before I even try this combination on my maxima. First of all, I have 95 max, and I realized that my max has plastic rear deck(inside the trunk, backside of the back seat) and was wondering if a amp is going to fit there(Al and Ed's recommends that amp should be mounted to trunk over under the seat, due to good heat dissipation). Where does people usually put their amps in max? If under the seat, will shops charge more $?

I don't know if many of you guys heard of cadence amps, but from what I have heard and read, they seem to be a very nice amp for its price. Cadence Q300 is a 300watt amp that sells for $129.99. Not bad. I'm hooking this guy up with JL 12w3 sub which is 250watts(under rated i bet) and hoping this is a good combo. What do you guys think?
If you guys can suggest me a good amp(250~400watts) around $200~$250, please do. Unless Cadence sucks, I'll go with it.

And lastly, I want to keep my head unit. Will my Cadence amp work fine with bose HU? Has anyone tried cadence amps with bose head unit? Feedbacks would be great. Thanks

I'm not too sure on amp mounting, I have my amp mounted upside down in my trunk. Not the best place, but I haven't had a single problem yet. The 12w3 sub is very good. A friend of mine has two of these hooked up to a RF 800.2. Over 400 going into each without problems. You won't have any problems with that wattage. To be honest, I haven't had any experience with Cadence amps. With your budget you shouldn't have any problem finding an amp to suit you if that one doesn't work out. As for running the setup off the Bose, it will work, but not well (from what I've heard.) Most people here say that running an amp & sub off the Bose unit won't sound nearly as good. That is what I heard and so I replaced my entire system and it sounds great.

Thanks for you reply. Yea, that sounds not bad, mounting the amp on underneath the top of my trunk.

I'm guessing Cadence is not too bad, and it saves me at least 200~300bucks compared to RF or any other brand names with similar specs.

Unless people had terribly bad sound experience with BOSE HU, I'll just go with it. Don't feel like busting out extra $300 or so on new head unit. It's just a sub I'm installing so I guess new head unit shouldnt make too much of a difference compared to the bose..

Yeah, if you have no other choice. But the reason why the sound wouldn't be that same is because you'd use a convertor box instead of connecting the amp directly to the HU. So if you do decide to got this route, you'll probably want to eventually change out your Bose because it will sound a whole lot better. I'm not sure if you'd want to go the same route as me though as far as amp mounting. With the way I have it mounted, there is nowhere for the heat to go. So if the Cadence amp gets pretty hot, you'll probably want to stick it somewhere else. I have a JBL amp and it doesn't get hot at all so I haven't been too worried about it. I've seen some mounted on the left panel of the trunk, you may want to look into that. Also if you mount the amp on the top of the trunk the amp will block your trunk light.
