ATTN: 2K2 Non-Bose Owners with Aftermarket Components

How did you connect your crossover to the stock wires??

I see the stock wires in the front door harness and I see the stock wires going to the tweeters connecting to a small wire harness on the side of the dash. But where do these wires come together before going to the head unit? Is there a stock crossover hidden in the dash somewhere or what?

Thanks in advance.

No, there is no crossover, but they do come together. There is only 2 wires (+/-) for each speaker leaving the HU. The tweeter in the A pillar splits off the same wire as the front door speakers do. I would only assume that this split is located in the kick panels on the driver and passenger side, as I cannot see Nissan running the wire into the door, splitting it in the door, and running another wire out (back into the car), up the A pillar to the tweeter.

The last set of speakers I did in a 2K...I replaced the factory doors, cut the wire and connected the wires from the amp(aftermarket)at the kickpanel. The tweeters still played. So it is not at the kick panel or the door.somewhere in the dash they split.

I just looked in the ESM for the factory wiring harness. It appears that the Pearl96Max is correct (it's not in the kick panel or door), as the the split happens somewhere in the upper portion of the dash, somewhere behind/around the instrument cluster gauges.
