Help with BOSE unit..........

just wondering if any of you have hooked up a sub with separate amp and crossover to your SE bose systems. i aked a few stereo places, and the first few said they would just tap the rear speaker lines. i told them that would sound like crap. finally i talked to a guy who said he knew how to create a new pre-output from the back of the bose system, but he wouldn't tell me exactly how to do it...........any ideas?

i'm dying for some bump. please help!!!!!!!!

This is what I did w/ my 98.....I bought an adapter from a local stereo shop(i think it was about $40). Then, I connected it to the left rear speaker. This gave me the line level output that I needed to connect an amp. Now I have 2 JL 12s powered by a Kenwood PS200 amp and it sounds nice.....get compliments all the time!

I did this with AudioControl components. The Bose headunit fed the audiocontrol units a balanced line level signal, and then after that it fed a completely aftermarket system. I have a writeup about this in the FAQ above.
