do box styles make a difference???

In our cars, would a hatch, wedge, or powerwedge box sound different then the others? If so wich one would be the best? Also when you measure the volume of the box, do you subtract the amount of space the woofer takes up?

Yes the types of boxes will make a diff in any car but you may not notice it as much in a car with a trunk (ie maxima)

Yes you subtract the volume of air the sub will take up in the box and any other things ports tubes etc...
hope this helps you out

the best enclosure would be in the shape of a sphere, that way the sound waves won't cancel each other out in the inside of the box, alot of people build trapezoids and tubes..
