2k2 bose setup

i just bought a 2k2 that came with the 1,099 dollar 7 speaker bose option. i didnt really have a choice since it was the car onsale. is it worth upgrading it? or is the bose system enough? it seems like for the 1,000 extra it should be a nice system. what is the main difference between the stock 2002 stereo and the $1000 upgrade?

The difference is that it's Bose, and it cost $1000 more, plus you get that tiny sub. I listened to the system when I test drove the 2K2, and wasn't impressed. I'm thinking about not getting it, and just upgrading it myself later. Problem is, as you mentioned earlier, it's required when you get leather and the meridian.

People seem to think the bose system in the 2K2s doesn't even rival the bose system in the 4th gens, which wasn't the best to begin with. then again, the question "is it worth upgrading it? or is the bose system enough?" should be answered by your ears and your ears only.

well the thing is, the bose option comes with the in dash 6 cd changer. i dont want to remove that cuz i like having the stock look and the convenience of the in dash. i am thinking about just throwing a sub in the trunk and calling it quits for now. on more thing.. how are the speakers in the upgraded bose package? are they worth replacing? i really dont know a whole lot about audio but i hope to get uit figured out soon
