Just boguht a steathbox, need help with amp

Ok, i just got a stealthbox but im not really sure what kind of amp to get. I was thinking either PPI or an new Alpine's. I just ordered the CDA-7897 head unit and the stealthbox is in the mail. Im proabably gonna upgrade the speakers but thats proabably in like 4 months. The sub is a 10w6 so it handles 300w and is wired for 3ohm mono. Can u guys point me in the right direction here.

how do u like it? im not one who cares for alot of bass, just enough to give a little more deeper punch than in-car speakers could ever produce.

do u think either of these amps will be good

I love it. I still have the bose system. I just wanted to add a little bass and this set up worked out great. I have always heard good things about ppi amps but I don't know much about audio equipment.

PPi is still agreat company. The lower line of Phoenix Gold (XS) would be great to. Why not just match it up with a JL amp tho? A 250/1 should be more than enough.

jl amps are the best because they will put out the same watts at 11.5 or 13.5. you can run them in any combo and they are 1 ohm stable.

from my experience in car audio which is a lot ppi and pg amps aren't that good. With those amps you have to get a bigger amp than if you got a quality amp like rockford or jl audio. I build systems everyday and i live on rockford amps.

Just to clarify....you are saying Rockford is HIGH quality??? It is better than PG????

I cannot believe Im hearing this. Maybe several years ago, they had some work, but now? Not possible. I would have to strongly disagree with this opinion as MANY others im sure would also.

This has got to be one of the most assinine statements I've heard all week. How can you tell me that a Rockford amp is going to be clearer then my PPI amp? Do you know what sound quality is? Gimme a break.

Rockford amps are iight i am running two 12 inch eclipse on a 600 Best bet is too look at your specs and find amp with "continuous power" that accomodate what your are looking for.

Maybe if all you want is Bass in your car.

I'd still take a PPI or Xtant amp over Rockford or JL anyday.

Crazy is what you are if you think they put out "quality" amps. I carried Rockford for many years. I dropped the line because their quality went to the shi**er. I would pick most other amps before Rockford. As you can see from other posts most people do agree with this.
