Lost front Tweets!

OK, I installed an Alpine 7982 HU and replaced all speakers. I thought that I would leave the Pillar Tweets there for "fill" but I somehow lost the tweets in the process.

Anyone know which wires I should have connected? Or, where do the wires split so that I can reconnect them.

PS: I don't have the Bose system.

Thanks!

The factory tweets are probably connected in series with a capacitor and in parallel to the factory mid. You disconnected the mid, so the tweet is also disconnected. This should yield a better sound because you replaced the factory mid and tweet with aftermarket speakers. You really don't want two tweets and one mid. Tweeters are considerably more efficient than mids.

That's True, and I appreciate the comments, but I really want to trace the wires, so that I can run separates and move my current speakers to the rear doors.

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't remember the factory wires being difficult to follow. But mine have been gone over two years. Have you considered how you will mount drivers in the rear doors? I have a single eight in fiberglassed rear door panels. But it certainly wasn't drop in.

5th gens have stock 6.5 location in the rear doors...

Take off the A-pillar trim and pull the tweet and see what color wires run to it and then pull the doow panel and find the wires.
