Kicker is good but they make better subs. I would rather get infinity or something along that line of better sound speakers. You can fit bigger then 4" in the doors i know.

They are weak in terms of power handling, they sound good but you can't put much power/amp on them, you can get oversized 6 1/2" in your doors check my page in my sig to see what I have click on my name WILLIAM

4s won't have any midbass, so they'll sound bad. You need 6.5s.

will 6 1/2s fit? what is in there now?4by6s? i havent taken off the kick panel yet. so i guess 4s arent the way to go huh? what are 4s good for or meant for?(sound wise) i have 3/4 in. tweets im mounting somewhere else. i am going to use 6by9s to help fill in on mids. i was plannning on running my door speaker off head unit (40wattby4) or have a 40by2 watt amp. also considered infinity 4by6 replacements. any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Get an amp for the front door speakers and power the rear speakers with the HU. Make sure that you get 6.5s for good midbass up front.

If you want something decent that will simply drop-in, then look at the infinity 4x6 speakers.
if you want more midbass up front or don't plan on adding subs later, then I'd say go with 6.5" speakers.

most audio shops will easily install them for you with minimal extra charges, but some will try to bend you over.
Either that, or you can make your own adaptor plates to git the 6.5" in there.

again, if you want simple & sweet, just pick up some 4x6 speakers that will drop right in.

you don't NEED an amp on them, but Id' highly recommend one if you want to get good sound out of them.
