How do you wire a Amp???
i know how its done, but i may have the names mixed up.
you connect a your front or rear or both (depending on the unit) to a little box, forgot the name of it, wanna call it a high/low crossover but i think thats just for componet speakers. it will convert the signal from the high (coming from the deck to the speakers) to low (RCA jacks). you will have one RCA per channel. it should go near the head unit and the sound to your speakers isnt messed up.
hope that helps, im sure maximadave will be along to patch my holes in.

no problem.
i would have been in the same position but my headunit wasnt a CD player and the lcd on it didnt light up, aside from those two things, i would have kept it.

You will also need to get a power wire run from your Battery to your Amp. The power antenna wire from your radio will need to be patched over to the amplifier's Accessory Power/Switched Power lead. And finally, you will need to find a good ground.
Since you are running a Sub, you will need to ensure that the amplifier you install has a built in crossover for sub output, otherwise you will need to pick up a external crossover to limit the frequency range for the sub.
Good Luck...

You need a line-out converter that will take the signal from your existing speakers and break down the signal to an RCA level output. You need to get a GOOD one, as the cheap-o's will add to the already present distortion. I recommend looking at a high-end stereo shop.
