front left speaker blew after subs installed??

It maybe a coincidence, but my front left speaker seems to rattle now at loud base. my 2 12" subs are in my trunk sitting upside down against the carpet temporarily until i get my boxes.

does one have anything to do with another? only my front left seems to be rattling.

thanks.

With your new setup you also need an amp supplying power to your door speakers If not you will be replacing them evey month like i use too.

really? I wasn't aware of that at all. I figured that since the speakers can handle enough power(3-way 130w) they shouldn't have a problem at all.......i thought that speakers would blow out when the power would exceed their limit, like getting a powerful enough amp.

Head units don't produce continuous power in large amounts of top. But what really kills your speakers is the distortion from producing high watts a high thd ratings.

But wouldn't an amp just amplifiy those high watts at high ratings??

nope......if your door speaks are ran off your head unit's power, cranking them up to where your head unit is "clipping" that will kill them...not the power..you also want to kill the bass frequencies going to the doors now since you have subs..say for instance, you are running the subs at 80hz or so down, you want to play the doors at 80 or higher, so there is no overlap in frequencies.there is no need to play your sub frequencies through those speakers now since you have others to do it better..
chances are, your speakers aren't blown just in need of a crossover..but i would still recommend an amp for those too..don't have to be major, but like I said, clipping is what kills..if you want 100 watts, don't get a 50 watt amp to go ***** out and "try" to do the job...get a 150 watt amp set it right and the amp and speakers will last for yours and probably your kids life.....
