Pyle Amps

Does anyone have any experience with the Pyle PLM402 or any Pyle amps in general? I'm thinking about getting this 4 channel to power the stock speakers until I can afford some better ones.

as good as the price is, you get what you pay for. i think it was generally about 1/4th of they rated power is what youll get.
also quality and heating problems can occur. like people told me, get a higher quality one. look at www.bsless.com for the JBL 80.4, you will be happy with that. its a good compromise between a JL amp and a pyle. i always think of "pyle of ****" when i hear pyle. ive been here too. im saving up for a good amp, i am selling my bazooka to a friend.

edit:
here is the direct link. also they've updated theyre site

I've heard some not so good things about Pyle in general, which is why I asked, but considered it because this is supposedly a higher line of equipment. It's kinda how Pioneer sucks, but their Premier line is actually pretty darn good. I would never consider a normal Pyle, but this Millenium series or something is supposedly a lot better. Thanks for the input.

I can get the amp for $400 Can new. I'm looking to spend $500 at the very most for a 4 channel with atleast 100W per. Sound quality is much more important than overall power.

Is MaximaDave in Canada? I ask only because a lot of these companies only have warranties if you buy from the country you are in. I.e. if I buy my amp from the states, the warranty only covers the component if I'm in the states, and the same goes for Canada.

Don't Worry Guys

Looks like I'm back to my good ol ways. Looks like I'll be getting the Alpine MRV-F540.

I'm definetly breaking my budget, but oh well, **** happens. It just means more delays before performance mods.

The stock speakers should not really be amplified at all...The pyle is just a pyle of crap there is more to an amp than just wattage, the pyle will just send it more distortion and amplifi the distortion thats already there...Making it sound worse and causing damage tothe speakers .

If your looking for a cheap way to improve the sound start with either the head unit or the speakers them selves.

The stock speakers aren't all that bad, and when amped with a good amp, I should get pretty decent results, although not anywhere near what I want. Which is why I will be purchasing some high end stuff the following year. The current mid I am looking for in the front doors has a 3" voice coil!!!
