Inline Noise Filter for SALE!! Get rid of Alternator Whine!
Hey guys, I have an inline noise filter for sale and am looking to get rid of it. When I was installing my system in the car I forgot to put it in...but whatever. So its just sitting in my house.... I might as well help as org member out.
You attach the filter behind the Head unit to the positive and ground wire, and it will filter out ANY alternator whining sounds. Its 20 amp BRAND NEW filter and still in the box. Picture is below. I paid 20 for it...so im selling it for $18 shipped. PM me with any questions.

1. Your speakers will not whine when you are playing music and driving. There will not be a sound coming from your speakers when your RPM's go up.
2. Your speakers make a whining sound NOT to inform you of a dying alternator, but to say that you either have interference in your wiring somewhere, that you cant find, or a insufficient ground somewhere.
3. Your alternator doesn't JUST develop a whine because its going out, you get a SES light or SOMETIMES you can get a Flickering Brake and Oil light that goes on at random points in time. Also if your alternator is dying practically everything starts failing and all the lights in the cluster turn on.
-Overall: Would this be a bad idea? Not unless you like to hear annoying sounds coming from your speakers while your engine is on and you are driving. If your alternator is going out, I hope you would have to look into it a bit deeper (i.e. check for codes, look for other signs as indicated above) rather then just base it on a whine coming from your speakers.
Hope this answers your questions and if you have any more feel free to ask. Thanks
