I bought this as a spare but never needed it and I traded my Maxima. It is used but in perfect working condition.

Not without a lot of work. If your car did not come with navigation then it is not going to be plug and play. I would recommend getting a Garmin.

No, the wiring harness is different and the trim pieces on the dash around the center stack are different(I think). The Navigation system feeds the voice directions through the Bose stereo (mutes the music when it is talking!) so you would have to convert to the Bose speakers and amps. It's a really sweet system but I think it's too much trouble to try to convert and you may be better off looking at aftermarket systems. This Navigation unit sells for almost $4,000 from the Nissan parts dealer and this Bose head unit is like $800. If someone has one that has stopped working, damaged or stolen then this is a great deal.

also you can replace the bose radio without affecting the navi and climate control....all you lose is the trip option on the steering wheel that you ground a brown wire to fix and the voice from the navigation that I havent figured out yet...lol

Quick question for you. Can you tell from removing this unit if the climate control wiring harness is separate from the controls for the Nav?

What I mean is, do you think a normal climate control "controller" would plug into and control a navigation equipped maxima?

The navigation system has auto climate control. I don't know if it would plug into the same harness that came in non-nav 02-03 Maximas with auto climate control. If you look at the pictures of the back of the unit, I am guessing that one of the three plugs along the center row is for the climate control. Do you have the shop manual pdf files? Email or pm me if you don't.
