I was wondering if there is anyone out there who does any autocross or road racing near chicago. I wanna get started, but dont know where to go, or when anything is, and if i have to be an SCCA member or not.

What's autocrossing? Oh that drifting thing with cones

Tri-State events aren't filling up so non members don't have problems. Just show up and go. This Sunday @ MGA would be perfect and it's not far from Barrington.

Chicago SCCA tends to still require pre-registation as events at Rt66 have been pretty packed. Members get priority registration.

Join us this weekend - only 2 Nissan's registered and 20 Subes

I'll be glad to spend time with you Sunday as this is a practice for me. You'll be first to see my new wheel gap

That be great. I only have two more weekends left before i go back to school in boston. I don't know if im gonna bring my car out there, but if i like autocrossing i might. I just need to know where it is, and what time i should be there. I have the link to the things i need to bring, but is there anything i definitely need that i won't be able to race without? Thanks alot.
