Flywheel - worth it???

Sup guys, i've been trying to decide if a flywheel is worth it...Did my research and what not on the org. and seems like most people love it, but i wanted to hear it from the auto x and road racing side. I do road race probably every weekend, if not that. At first I was thinking a 5lb flywheel but from the looks of it everyone says it would be difficult to drive around town, especially in San Francisco. Not difficult but more annoying than not. So i'm looking at the fidanza....

The flywheel should be a nice upgrade if you go to real track events, like road racing. The lighter weight would make for quicker upshifts, and easier downshifts too.
However, nobody make a 5lb flywheel for the maximas, regardless of what you read online. There's no way to make it that light and still use the original clutch diameter.

Unorthadox Racing states they have a flywheel for the 4th gens that is 5lb. and there are a few members that I have talked to with 5lb flywheels also. Not trying to look like a jack@ss. Unless i've been wrong the entire time...

It won't be 5lbs once you install all the hardware back onto the flywheel.

You do this to your car? Who knows about the durability of the light flywheels?

Jeff,
If that avatar is your car with Cobra rims, how much do they weigh? They was an unresolved conversation here on the auto-x forum about the weight of those things.

I had a findanza on my maxima. Weight is about the same for the 4-gens also. Which is about 12lbs. That is about the lightest I recommend going for a street car.

17x8, 30mm offset. Obviously good bbk clearance for a 13" rotor/300zx caliper combo. Weight is approximately 19-21 lbs.
