auto-x video from a T&T July '05

I figure more people will see this if I make a separate thread, anyway, this video is from a test and tune on July 30th, 2005. d00df00d was there actually running this day...his one and only auto-x....oh well.

Sorry d00df00d, I guess my wife didn't take any video of anyone except me.

Of the two runs that were on the video, the 1st is when I had my 240lb cousin in the passenger seat with his video camera (that footage would make most people throw up though). The second run is just me, I was already familar with the course before either video was shot.

Ah, memories. That was when I figured out how much I suck at driving when I have to stick my head in the sunroof because I'm too damn tall to sit straight in the seat with a helmet on.

Oh, I have, trust me. I just don't have the money for a good one.

Care to start a fund? I have a brother with an Integra that's getting pretty freakish (5 events under his belt and he placed 4th in STS last time) and a friend with a Koni coilovered Jetta, and I really wouldn't mind some sponsorship to try and run them down...

That time I remembered the camera, but forgot the camera mount. Then the next time I remembered the mount and my wife took the camera....I think that was one of the times out at Ripken when you were there.

I am certainly going to try to get there, I haven't been able to race in a while

I still don't....I didn't have any when I went out on Pocono either.

I plan to, just other things have taken precedence....

DOODFOOD, what up man?

1. Dude I'm just as tall as you and I fit in the car with a helmet. Just recline a little bit, you can make it work.

2. You missed a great time on Sunday at Warminster. You have the suspension, a DE-K under the hood, and I hope finally a 5-speed that isn't messed up. No excuses, we're dragging you out next season. Hopefully I'll have a car that isn't rear ended by then, too.

3. Your brother made some nice runs. I rode with Jesse on one of his runs in the Jetta and he did pretty well for his first autocross, he just needs to stop f*cking with the clutch. I also rode with my brother (he also has an Integra, hmmm) and man those cars can handle.

Check it out:

How the heck are you?

Hah, I suck almost as much with the seat reclined.... I don't know what it is about me, but I seem to have a very narrow range of driving positions I can use.

Yeah, the suspension and DE-K are nice, and the 5-speed seems to be on its game. I have a set of tires coming in soon, too, which should be pretty interesting if Tire Rack is to be believed.

My brother is pretty nuts. Don't ask how he got to know his car well enough to do what he does with so few events under his belt.

Maybe I'll turn out next time. BTW, you know, if you want to get a promise out of me, you could always start a donation fund and buy me some chassis stiffening, a rear sway bar, and a racing seat. That'd get me to turn out to all the events you want...
