Dealing with Killer95max

Here's the original thread:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....=1#post3875201

Two of the screw heads that hold the rails to the HU were stripped. Apparently, he couldn't get the rails off, so, instead of leaving them stuck and intact, he bends them over at both ends. I had to take a Dremel cutting wheel and cut new grooves into the screw heads so I could get them out. The only way the rails could have been used was to hammer them out. This turned a normally routine swap into a cuss-fest.
The "Factory optional white screen" was simply a piece of red mylar behind the display cover. Read the thread and you'll see where he enjoyed being "tricky".
Amazingly, the unit works, in spite of a minimal amount of peanuts in the shipping box and nothing covering the front of the unit.

Update: 04-19-05.

Further email discussion with Killer has tempered my attitude. He realizes that the unit could have been prepped and packaged better...sounds sincere about it.
