So your going to sell something, and pay him back. So what if that transaction has issues? So the members of this forum should line up to get their problems with you solved on each others backs until the last guy in line gets screwed? I think we should get a sticky in the for sale section that is something like "HOW TO PROPERLY PACKAGE FRAGILE ITEMS" and I know it is "buy/sell at your own risk" but it can't hurt to list a couple of guidelines for people who simply just dont know better. Common sense isnt all that common...

I agree 100%. I hate giving my input in a matter between two people but I just can't help myself this time. I wanted to say those exact words since I heard him say he's in financial dire. If you drive a Maxima you have $40, period. If you are changing your oil and pumping gas etc., there is no excuse for stiffing somebody for $40.

Damn dude im not. Im f**king tell you the truth im waiting on that damn check from the insurance, they called me yesterday saying that all the paperwork was complete and that i could go pick up the check today.

 

So the money will be en-route on Thursday.

What im saying is that the money is coming soon. Its a big amount check and i dont know how long the bank is gonna take to clear the check. When that happens chillin well be getting a pm from me.

I traded my safc2 for a vafc2 and when I met the guy up I wired up both AFC's to my battery to confirm they worked...sure enough, both powered on. I started to second guess myself and decided to test the SAFC1 alex sold me again, so I clipped the harness to kill any doubt that it could be a connection error. I noticed every tiny wire corresponded to the color of the wire it came out of on the other side of the harness except for the red and yellow for some reason. So i grounded the grounds, and tried both the yellow and red wire but nothing happened, the unit is FOR SURE broken. The tiny red wire makes the buttons light up, thats all.

 

This is a shame, as a new member I'm somewhat reluctant to deal with other members here as a result of the transaction and the ridiculous delay in meeting the guy halfway. I'd like to think everyone here has some spirit of brotherhood in their dealings, is that or is that not the way it is? How often does this kinda horseplay go on? The Scoob.

 

From personal experience, I've had good dealings a majority of the time. We have some awesome sellers on the org and just very honest up front individuals (ex: fanaticrockford) I've had a couple situations where I felt like the deal was no good and the seller refunded with no issues.
I think some of the more common problems are things that are common sense to most and not all. Like, packaging something properly.

he pmed me saying he was depositing the check from insurance and was going to pay me as soon as that went through but i'm still waiting.

 

The check cleared today. You should be receiving your money soon dont worry. I know because I've been holding an old y-pipe for him for about 2 months now also waiting for that damn check to clear, and he's finally ready to buy it. So be at ease, $ soon come

 

so he has been inquiring about other things...

i'll just be glad when this is over with...

 

a month and a half later, and Alex finally refunded me the 40 dollars. thanks alex, and yes I will send you back the SAFC so you can "see if its actually broken". Funny to think i'm going to package a broken SAFC better than you did for a supposed working unit.

anyhow, you'll get it within the next week most likely. hopefully this can be a lesson learned for you in many ways. And hopefully from an ETHICAL perspective you feel some sort of satisfaction.

Yeah well I still don't have my money because paypal withheld it and I'm waiting on alex to go resolve it.
I used to think paypal was great, now its really starting to **** me off.

 

Same here. They also wanted to do some program there that i have to pay 1.95 for.
