Warpspeed Problem

I ordered my Warpspeed Y and B pipe about 4 weeks ago. I was told when I ordered them, that they would ship in 2 weeks?!?!?! i called after 2 and asked if they had shipped/and if i could have the tracking number if they did. i was told it would ship in a few days. here we are 2 weeks later almost, and no pipes??? Has anyone else ordered a Warpspeed SS Y Pipe from them recently? if so, how long did it take you to get it? Thank You

With how that is going you might actaully get the MEVI before you get the y-pipe and b-pipe. I really hope that doesn't happen!!! Man you have been waiting forever on those parts. That really sucks!! Hope they come in soon.

Warpspeed Y-pipe

I ordered my TIG SS y-pipe exactly one month ago and still nothing. When I first ordered it, they (Lynn) told me possibly 2 weeks, maybe a little more. So I waited and now I have been calling so many times each week for an update. It sounds like they are taking too many orders and now there is a huge backlog. I call and am promised that I will get a call back, updating me on the TIG situation but I dont get any calls back. This past week I even switched my order to a MIG to get it faster, but still no response. I am reluctant, but willing to cancel my order. I'll probably end up just waiting since I dont like Cattman's track record and people say Stillen's is really loud.

I would personally go with like Budget or Cattman if I were you just because waiting over a month for a mod that is supposed to be in stock is to long of a wait. I know Cattman has them in stock you just order it and you have it in like a week. The only problem is it is a little more expensive...but it is a good pipe..and you'll have it sooner. =) And I hear the people at budget are really good also, and are about the same price as warpspeed.

I ordered my budget friday for $158 and I got it today. It's sitting in my trunk right now. Don't have time to install it.

HAHA! I know that you are kidding, but it's funny. if i got the mevi in before the y and b, i will be pretty angry. i might just cancel the order at that point, and go stillen. I'll spend the extra money. big whoop!

Well, I just sent another email to Dallas! In this email I said that if I don't get a response as to how long i will have to wait, I would like to cancel my order. Are there any recommendations for a quick replacement. i really wanted the Warpspeed product, but if things don't go well, I might go stillen or Cattman. Thank you all

I think it is like 375 or something but you can check here www.cattman.com.

should i just get the b from warpspeed, cancel the y, and get the y from cattman? or, should i downgrade the y to an aluminized?

I think I'm just going to get the aluminized y. Even warspeed says they recommend it over the SS one.

I bet they just suggest the Aluminized one because they have them in stock or they are easier to make...j/k I don't know how much you were paying for the SS from warpspeed...but I've been satisfied with the Y from cattman. I guess it all depends on how soon you want the Y-pipe. I if you don't mind waiting and paying a little less go with warpspeed but if your in a hurry and want the Y-pipe in like a week go with Stillen or Cattman, just my thoughts.

John, is your y-pipe SS or aluminized? I don't know how Cattman makes them! Will their pipe be a direct bolt-on, or does it need modification? Thanks, John

this is the last straw! i have been in contact via emails with Dallas. I call and talk to Lynn as well. When I call, I keep getting the same run-around how I will get it in a few days or so. I called today, and was told that they hope to get it out by the end of this week(heard that before). It's been about 5-6 weeks now. I don't know how much more of this I can take. Is there anything I can do(legally) to get my y-pipe and b-pipe? I am just so damn frustrated right now. 4 hundred some odd dollars sitting idle at Warpspeed(y and b pipes), and I can't do jack schit about it!?!?

After two months, I finally recieved it in the mail, and here's what I found... (This is an email that I sent Dallas, and his reply)

I'm very disappointed in the first section of the 'B' pipe.

I ordered the pipe with the 'longer' resonator..... but what was included in place of a resonator were two 12" louvered glasspacks. Those things have HUGE louvers. Resonators do NOT have louvers, they just have small holes.

This piece would flow WORSE than the factory piece... pinches and all. It is by NO means a flow improvement. I know you are pushed to try and get the orders out, but I cannot accept this piece.

What I need from you is one of the following...

1. A refund for this section of the 'B' pipe

or

2. A replacement consisting of a 'real' longer length 24" resonator in a timely manner.

If you cannot get a replacement in a timely manner, I'll need the refund. I've been waiting two months already, and this is NOT what I was expecting. If you decide on the refund route, I'll just have to go to the local muffler shop and have them weld in a real resonator and re-do the piece I've already got.

The 'Y' pipe doesn't really seem to contain that high quality mandrel bends. The curves of the pipe crush down from 2.0" to 1-7/8". They seem to be 'pseudo' mandrel bends. Plus, for flow, the piece on the end of the 'Y' pipe 'should' be a curved part instead of a straight piece welded onto the flex section at an angle.

I paid $225 for your pipe for your quality, rather than $158 for the Budget part. I'll settle for the existing 'Y' pipe, but the front section of the 'B' pipe is just totally unacceptable.

I'm not a 'newbie' punk kid. I'm 34 years old and have been playing with cars since I was a teenager. I've got a shop with a welder, air, shop press, drill press, chop saw, band saw, etc. and have a 66 mustang street car that runs 10.63 @ 129.3 on the bottle. I hold high standards for myself, and anyone else I do business with.

I'm not one to jump the gun and go bad-mouthing. I like to try and resolve problems in a mature manner. Please let me know what you want to do about this.

Thanks,

If you don't want the Y pipe and B pipe simply return it via the instructions on our website.

You may not be aware that there are several different styles of resonators, we use the baffle style because they actually work, unlike the perforated style which are flat with holes and a just a basic empty cylinder. We use a dual resonator for those people who want a quite exhaust. Your local muffler shop will have a resonator of the same style. I think louvers are what are put on the back window of some cars.

regards
Dallas

I don't recommend doing business with them...

Hope you guys have better luck with WSP than I did.

I am really ****ed the Fock off now! It's been 12 days since Dallas emailed me and told me that his TIG guy would be there that night! I haven't heard from him since! I am very ****ed. I don't think words can express my anger right now. 7 weeks plus time that I am waiting now for a product that is supposed to ship in two is ridiculous and unacceptable.
