Well, now that all the snow is starting to melt and my Maxima is starting to look like a bovine salt lick, where do you guys go to wash your cars and/or have them detailed?

I am planning to make an appointment this Saturday at First Impressions in Alsip, IL to give my car a much needed bath and interior cleaning because of all the salt and crap that got on my carpet.

Car Wash N Wax

I either go to the Turtle Wax place, or Delta sonic. I usually wash every week and wax once a month.

Oh Kitty.....

Pardon the pun, but my first impression of the shop was not too bad. I got the car washed, waxed, and the seats/carpet shampooed for $45. By the time they were through, the car looked brand new. I am planning to make an appointment with them in March in order to do a full detail.

No prob

Well Delta Sonic has a deal goin on right now. Super Wash, all interior clean, and wax. For $30 bucks. Which they do a decient job. So every month I go do that. And once every 3 months I go to Turtle Wax, and get their 70-80 bucks all around detail. They shampoo the interior unlike Delta Sonic.
But I'm not tall enough to wax the roof of my car otherwise I'd do it every day. I usually try and have a get together at my friends house and we all do that together so they can help me do the roof. I can't help I'm a short asian vampire.

Once the weather gets warmer, I am usually found in the back of my parents' house washing my car. Granted, I spend 2 hrs on average washing my Maxima, but by the time I am through, it looks like it had been to a detail shop.

Currently, I use the following to clean my car:

Espree Wheel Cleaner (the green one)
Westley's Bleche White
Meguiar's #40 Vinyl Cleaner and Conditioner (Dash and vinyl trim pieces)
Metal Polish (For my rins)
Trax Auto Glass Cleaner
Meguiar's Soft pH Car wash solution
Tire Wet Silicone Protectant

Wash mitt
Chamois
Wheel and Grille Brush
Whitewall Brush

i'm not sure if you guys have safari's where you're at..but don't go there... they have given me nothing but bad luck. it cost 70 just to shampoo the interior! i want to go to the places that you're talking about, but they aren't here. all the cleaning places here are chains and they're over priced but safari, if you do have it, BAAAD - broken antenna, blew ALL of my speakers!!!! (i didn't even know the volume went up to 42!! i only put it on 20 and that's loud!!) and denied it, they said i couldn't prove it - i saw it with my own eyes when i went out to check on my baby!!! huge black scratch on my driver's side door, def wasn't there when i drove up. and not a good cleaning job.
