do dealerships follow BAR rules? I know for a fact that when you sign the work order at a nissan dealership it says that the price could very well be higher than the quoted price you began with. and when they call you to perform other work, they dont have you come back in to sign and prepare new paperwork

But they make you sign the paper when you get there right?

I notice shops do that all the time. I think they just take your word over the phone and make you sign when you get in. Most people dont know the rules, as Matt said. So if they ask you to sign the paper AND they called you ahead of time so you know the price, then most people just sign it with no problems.

Damn sorry to hear you had bad luck. Not that my experiences matter, but that shop completely rubbed me the wrong way. I had a great experience with them cutting my springs, but after that I was put through the ringer. Simple process like swapping tires cost me $65 and they spent 6 hours doing it while I waited. I was originally told it'd happen ASAP, but they kept stalling.

All shops lag, as does Finishline, but if you clearly communicate to John when it needs to be done and put a little pressure on, it'll get done, and get done for CHEAP.

usually when you sign contracts, if you actually read the fine print, the contract does not help both parties as much as you would think, its so that the business gets their @ss covered and can put things like, "may cost extra" ....

Sup Frank,
I'll be in town around May again.

I never went to RPM, I went to Premier, which is the same crew of people that run RPM.
