Frankencar Intake Came!!!

My frankencar intake came so anyone else waiting should be getting it soon. Ordered on Feb 20 so it took about a month. Not too bad from what I was hearing about Frankencar. Can't wait to install it but its 18 degrees right now so I think I'll wait till its a little warmer.

Yeah I got mine last summer, very easy to install, and good sound too. Can't wait to get my exhaust done to finish it.

Count yourself lucky. I ordered mine during Christmas of last year. I'm writing off that $150 as a lesson learned.

In an interesting twist, I got a call from them a few hours after posting my message yesterday. He claimed that all the outstanding orders had been filled and wasn't sure what happened to mine. After 3 1/2 months I had assumed that it had been lost or they went out of business and decided to keep my money. He was very apologetic. We'll see what happens next.

I think that I'm the only one that has not had any problems with Frankencar. I ordered a intake system from them and received it in exactly one week.

While waiting sucks when you buy a new toy, I'm happy to hear it's normal for them. I paid them via PayPal on April 1st, and have been worrying whether I'll ever receive it. I sent them an email inquiry on the 14th and received no reply. Worried til now they'd gone bankrupt.

I installed it a few days ago and like everyone says it is worth the wait. Sound is amazing and my friend who used to own a vette said it sounded just like one and was surprised how loud and deep it sounded. Not much of a performance gain but it feels a little quicker up top.

My intake came on Saturday and I installed it Sunday. Sounds fantastic under WOT. Quality is excellent. Ordered 04/01 and received 04/24, no parts missing, instructions attached to outside of box in shipping information pouch. All is forgiven.

I'm a bit late w/ the update but I finally got my intake on April 24th. Literally, 4 months to the day after I placed the order (December 24, 2003!!). All those who say it's worth the wait obviously did not wait 4 months to get it. While it's definitely fun to go WOT with it, there's no way parting with $150 is worth a 4 month wait. These guys don't reply to emails at all. They don't answer the phone (when it was still working). Scott might return a cell phone message, though no one else will. And they don't have any way of tracking placed orders. My order had been 'lost' as well. How a company like this stays in business is beyond me.

No overhead. I think they're a part time business and everyone has day jobs, at least that's how it used to be. It explains the late callbacks, or lack of callbacks. They're not at this full time. So delays get magnified.

well i also have a story to add here. First i was an idiot and ordered the wrong intake i got a 02 for my 97 lol. so he refunded me and i ordered the correct intake on Wed (9/14) and scott replyed that the order would ship out thursday and it should be coming fedex today (sat) but i didnt recieve any email tracking info like i was supposed to and i called every number and no answer. sent 4 emails with no response, although its only been 4 days i still am mad because i stayed home basically all morning and afternoon waiting for the fedex dude to come so i could install it but noone ever came and its 2:30, fedex doesnt come after 1:30 here so no more today. hopefully ill get some sort of response on monday or it will come or if they didnt ship it out yet for some reason they will overnight it thatd be good. -Ryan
