This is the original email I sent to a company called NIN autosports about a supposed hood scoop that Nopi was selling

Subject: questions about a hood scoop

To whom it may concern,

I recently found this hood scoop (attached file) being sold by Nopi. Your website does not list this item. I was wondering if you still made the it, or if it has been discontinued? If it has not been discontinued, can you please send me the measurements for it. Nopi does not list any of that information.

Thank you for you time,

Ben

Here's their reply

Dear sir,

The picture that you send isn’t a hood scoop. Its actually an gauge pod. We do carry a carbon hood scoop. It was made for the WRX sti (zero sport style)but actually most people put it on a viper or rx-7 etc.. as an intake air hole. If you are interested in that scoop let me know. If you are intersetedin other kinds of scoop, we also offer fiberglass

Best regards,

Ca Auto

Ok, so nopi has messed up, here's my email to Nopi about their guage pod listed as a hood scoop.

Subject: Wrong listing for part #

Your listing for this part number is a hood scoop by NIN Autosports. I recently emailed the company and come to find out that the part shown is a gauge pod, not a hood scoop.

Nopi's reply

I show it weighs 10 pounds and its $200+. Definitely not a gauge pod. It’s their part number HSUC and we have one in stock.

Hmm, so I decided to help out the moron at nopi. Apparently he can't read (note original email to Nopi) So I email a copy of the email with NIN autosports to the poor idiot at Nopi. Here's his reply

Oh the picture. Yeah I’ll have them look into it

OMFG. Now I know why my clutch order got all ****ed up.

To give you idea how bad they messed up my order I'll start at the beginning.

(I order through a local place, he sells everything at cost. And he deals with all the hassle, that way I don't.)

I ordered a set of Brembo slots from Nopi. Took about a 1 1/2 months to get them, but they had to get straight from the factory. Ok, that's not so bad.

Well, lets see. How about a set of NGK wires. Ok, so put in a order for those. Well it took 3 weeks to get in, and the ones that came in for a 92 Sentra. Well, everyplace has a bad day. Ok, so not a problem.

Well, maybe they can get this right. So I put in a order for a Sachs clutch kit. The guy who gets all my parts, had put a few in already. And I had a friend at work that put one in his 91 Corrola, and he loved it. Ok, nice price, and I can use a better clutch for now. So I had them ordered. Well that was Feb of 04. Around March 15th I get a call saying my clutch was in.

Go down, pick it up, and bring it back. I opened it up to see exactly what I'm getting myself into. Hmmmm, 2 adaptors inside. 1 says Toyota, and the other says GM. Well, something aint quite right. So I email Sachs, giving them all the info. They email back saying it won't even work on any Nissan made. Ok, Nopi sent the wrong one again. Not to big of a prob, go back, have Terry order me another one.

Well, from March to May, they had sent 3 more clutchs, ALL WRONG. By this time, both me and Terry are getting ****ed. He can't get his money back considering his dealer status. It's Nopi policy. So they tell him that they got a hold of Sachs, and they were sending the right clutch.

Well about the beginning of June, Terry calls me up, and tells me the company doesn't make the clutch anymore. And he found out from Sachs itself, not Nopi. Ok fine, that's it. I've heard that centerforce is good, from a bunch of people. Tell him to order that. I get a $50 knocked off from Nopi "for all the trouble."

Well finaly on July 23rd my clutch comes in. YAY, right one and all.

As for above, I'm wanting to add a small hoodscoop to my Max. And build a heat sheild around the intake filter. Making a RAM air. Well the pic that Nopi had would have looked awesome, had it been a actual hoodscoop instead of a guage pod. (BTW, Nopi still hasn't changed the pic)

Morale of the story: NOPI'S ONLINE PARTS DIVISION IS FILLED WITH MORONS!!!!!
