**BUYER BEWARE* Thinking about getting springs from EBay?

I have to warn all prospective spring buyers about two sellers on Ebay who tried to rip me off: akaspeed2003 and qjpjp.

Both sellers took my money and never sent me my springs despited repeated requests and weeks of delays and empty promises. After filing complaints against them, they retaliated by filing bogus, non-payments claims against me.

One of them -- akaspeed2003 -- returned my money to settle the dispute, but the other, qjpjp, still has not.

My advice is to steer clear of them if you can.

Wow, I just bought a set of Eibachs from qjpjp last week and have received them already. I'll be sure to steer clear of him in the future. I hope everything gets settled okay.

I've delt with akaspeed2003 also, I won a bid for a set of Brand New H-Techs, then he said he did not have anymore and he is giong to send me Tein S-techs instead.

I told him i wanted my money back, he hesitated, held my money for a week and refunded me after i threated to file a claim.

Wanna know what really sucks? After waiting 42 days to get my springs, I have to turn right around and sell them.

Money problems prevent me from keeping them AND the new Tokico struts/shocks .

Just buy such things from a local car shop, why run the risk of petty theft from folks with no moral fiber left in them?

I just received a dispute notification from eBay regarding my transaction. It looks like qjpjp is trying to get out of paying his fees for the transaction because he sent an email to me asking me to ignore any emails from eBay about our transaction.

Its best to buy from a reputable source/company you might end up spending a little more but at least you can trust the sellers. Thanks for the lookout on those sellers.

He did that to me. You need to respond to eBay so they can investigate...otherwise they will penalize you.

We need to put this guy out of business.

Oh, I did. I let them know that there was no agreement to cancel the transaction and that I had been asked not to respond.

like other people have said before stick with a reputable buyer, someone you know, someone recommended here, or personal experience recommends. btw is it really worth saving ~$50 or for a part that if bad could be potentially dangerous? thats like buying walmart brand tires to auto cross in, it doesn't make much sense.

In the case of buying a well-known product that arrives factory-sealed, like the Tein springs, it is not a matter of faulty products but faulty sellers.

That is why it is important to read the feedback left by other buyers. Personally, I have had only three bad experiences with shopping on eBay for auto parts, and it just so happened that two of the three sales involved Tein H-Tech springs!
