eBay user cbboost not worth dealing with

Hey all,

Just wanted to give a heads up. I purchased a set of Illuminas from this user (cbboost AKA Chris Blanc) on Saturday (6/13) and haven't heard from him since. He accepted my best offer and that was the last.

I talked to another eBay member who had purchased a set of Illuminas from cbboost two weeks previous, and he claimed he didn't get any response until he finally opened a PayPal dispute against the seller, after which, he didn't get another response and is still awaiting a refund.

I made several attempts to e-mail the seller throughout the week myself, to no avail. If I don't hear anything by the morning, I'll be opening a dispute as well.

I know it seems kind of soon to do so, but from what I've learned, good business is shipping out one to two days after receiving payment (at most). That or contacting the buyer if an issue arises...

Just wanted to let anyone who plans to purchase Illuminas for their Max know. Maybe I can save someone else some frustration in the future.

I bought and paid for Tokico HPs on May 29th and have not heard a thing from this guy after numerous emails; absolutely zero communication. I have an open PayPal dispute, but he hasn't responded.

Edit: After a three week wait with no response, I left negative feedback today, and was finally contacted by the seller a few minutes ago. I was informed there is a problem with the supplier at the present moment. Given his positive feedback until very recently, I will give him an opportunity to make it right. The lack of communication is still worrisome though.

Edit II: The seller refunded my money today. The supply issues seem legit as he's doing everything his power to make it right.

Hey Guys-

I am Chris Blanc aka cbboost. I would like to clarify the situation and hopefully resolve any issues.
I am the owner of New England Performance Tuning aka NEPTune in Woburn MA. I just returned from my summer vacation to my in-laws' home in SoCal to learn that my five years of 100% positve feedback and perfect track record with Paypal had been GREATLY and rapidly tarnished.
One of my employees had been left in charge of the shop and did a poor job of keeping things in order. I will say the original issue was beyond his control but the lack of communication made it much worse. I was also not made aware of any issues till I returned from my trip.
One of our major suppliers dropped out on us in the middle of filling orders, some of which I had already paid in full for. This created a snow ball effect for my bussiness. Orders were not shipped on time causing customers to react negatively. As the word spread, everyone reacted urgently assuming they had all been ripped off (this thread is a prime example). By the time I got back to work last Monday, the desputes on paypal had spread like wildfire.
I have been working all week to fill orders and contact customers to resolve any issues I can. I have even come to learn that FedEx has lost a few orders and a few packages are missing 1-3 shocks, as if the issue was not bad enough. I'm sure other issues will pop up in the coming week. I will do my best to rectify this situation.
I would like to appologize personally. I understand that I choose my employees and it was my poor decision on whom to leave in charge that made the issue as bad as it is. I ask that anyone with an outstanding issue contact me on my personal e-mail: neptunenow@gmail.com.

seems like a legit guy who left his shop in the wrong hands on while on vacation.. looks like he's doing plenty to set things right, and to see that he acknowledges his mistake and takes the time to write in this thread seems like a sign in the right direction

Bit of a late response...but...

I'll give him the benefit of a doubt since he took the time to seek out the .org and let us know what happened. I noticed he dropped off eBay, so I don't know if eBay removed his account or if he did so to stop the issue at hand.

If I can get a hold of him, I may still deal with him in the future. To know that he went out of his way to let us know what had happened seems to show to me that he is in fact a legit dealer.
