Another part that doesnt fit

Ordered a Delphi compressor online at Parts Geek and they sent a UAC branded compressor claiming its the same part #.

the suction port and discharge port didnt even fit into the proper connection on the compressor.
the bore for these connections was too small. Rather then trying to force it which would damage something i wound up sending it back for a refund.

beware buying parts from Parts Geek. They have a few gags up their sleeve.

It's not entirely partsgeek fault. Nissan had several manufacturers supplying parts for many years and then in late 90s some went Toyota/Denso. Part supply depended on who was actually ABLE to supply since cars manufacturers ramped production by a huge amount.

For example. My Max was born November 2001 but it's classified 02. 6 month gap for 01-02 Maxima where u need to use a vin. Few differences between but you'll know when that part don't fit. I once went thru 3 different strut mounts, KYB and Moog included before I caved and bought from Nissan who sent me a genuine Nissan part but it was by Gabriel suspension manufacturer owned by monroe. Like damn really? It fit perfect while combinations of the others didn't. shock boots too..It falls into a between period where Nissan changed listed part suppliers because ignition coils, Hanshin electric bought by Denso, Nissan instead invested in Hitachi while Bosch bought the company making many of the fuel injectors, JECS.

Fun fact. My cars factory , Oppama plant, went from several thousand cars a year in production to a hundred thousand the year my car was made and 200k the following year.
Reference part fit through AutoZone or that other one I can't remember the name rn lol. they own AllData and the biggest online database of information that they pay out the *** to have exclusive rights to use. Hence why AutoZone has how-to's often identical to Nissan tech repair manuals.

I always start at Nissan USA parts , the legit Nissan parts store, not the discounted one, and use a wholesale account id id I got got free, that helps lower the price more often than not. But the trick is check different dealerships. Some have Large inventory and they'll do something like 20 percent off all day every day just because USA part prices are already 2x what it cost if u use international suppliers. Like Partsouq. I only use my Vin because between those two sources, if there's a weird fit or quirk about s specific model, it'll be listed one of those two.p
