Final Rinse

I usually wet and rinse my car with a multi-purpose nozzle on the hose. I put it on the "shower" setting which is a relatively soft setting but hard enough to dislodge dirt, etc.....

Usually when i do the final rinse, there's a lot of water left on the car for me to dry. Someone mentioned to me that i should do my final rinse without a nozzle on the hose, and that would result in less water left on the car for drying. My first reaction when he told me that was: yeah right !

I tried it last night just for the heck of it. I took the nozzle off the hose for the final rinse. The water just rolled off the car. There was at a minimum half of the amount of water left on my car for me to dry as compared to when i rinse using the nozzle.. It really made drying my Max much easier and "much faster".

I know that this is nothing new, but there may be other "non-believers" like me that may want to try this. It works !

Yeah I've done that as well for a couple years. Starting at the top and working down. Its really noticeable on the sides. You just work the water line down a bit at a time, running the hose side to side. Its a neat trick.
