California Car Duster

Is it worth it?
I saw it at Walmart today.
I have a black max and it picks up dust
pretty easy.
Anybody use it? Just wanted to get some feedback.

Thanks

Get it, it's definitely worth the money. I have a dark green max and I LOVE this duster. Definitely buy.

Yes, buy it. This is especially true since it's summer and you have a black car.

Just be sure to follow some guidelines:
-read the instructions it comes with (should tell you the following stuff...)
-be sure to lay it out and wrap it in a bunch of newspaper sheets for a few days before use to soak up excess wax. It may feel dry to the touch but just you wait...
-don't ever use it on paint that is hot to the touch unless you WANT to give yourself a heartattack. If you forget one day and get streaks, washing it or wiping it with detailing spray will fix it.
-try to only use the tips of the mop if you can. Be gentle.
-don't try to "drywash" your car. If in doubt, wash it instead.

I love my Cali. Duster. It can make a car go from dusty to almost washed looking in a few minutes.

I like the duster too, but hate the wax marks...seems I get a few even when the car is cold and I use only the tips. I tried the smaller sized dash duster...that did not leave the wax marks, so I've been using that a lot lately....

Have you tried putting your duster back in newspaper and soaking up some more of the wax? Maybe you still have too much wax in yours.

I'll try that tonight. It does seem to be pretty loaded with wax even after having used it for 6 months!!

I think I'm going to try that also, because I tend to get streaks when I use it and always use just the tips...

go to costco and get it for $11... but it's basically a microfiber towel on a stick.

you can get 12 microfibers for 9 bucks!
