Not a Maxima... This was shot not too long after I washed my truck. (I had to go back over the water spots) And to think I spent about 10 mins washing the bumper alone. And it still looked all hazy.

The only way I can get my trim to look any better is to paint it. Forget that. So for now, a cleaning with Turtle Wax F21 every 4 months makes it look almost brand new. Does even more wonders on my bed cover

(This is a comparison shot)

That bumper is plastic cladding isn't it? That part was extremely hard for me to clean on my Mom's Subaru...the claybar wouldn't do anything! Your bumper looks pretty clean though!

Yep, the bumper is complete plastic.

Try the stuff out, a stiff brush will get bugs and most stuff off. Try not to use anything but water when you scrub. I spent 2 hours once scrubbing with soap at bugs on my Maxima. I didn't even get to use wax I was so tired when I was done. Second time around I used nothing but water and the brush, took around 45 mins. If push comes to shove, Simple Green, but you'll have to rewax when you are done.

I never really used the stuff on painted pieces though. Guess because most pieces will have a clear coat. But these pieces didn't get such a treatment from the factory.

Finally a sunny day!!! My I was washed and waxed 2 weeks ago, but it's been raining like cats and dogs here, I didn't want to get it dirty again, so it just sat in the garage, begging to have its pictures taken, and finally, today, a beautiful sunny day with dry roads!

This should probably be in the Detailing forum, but I know a lot of you don't read there, so I am double posting here. I hope the mod don't mind.

Check out the tree reflection on the hood, and the ray of sunshine trying to touch my ride =P

This is what the '00 touring 17"s in chrome look like, I haven't seen anyone else with these yet.

Close up. Notice the '00 I30T doesn't have smoked headlight housings.

Rear view with more rays of sunshine

The bottom part of the bumper isn't dirt! It's a reflection of the ground =D

One last wax before winter

I decided to put on one more coat of wax before the wet winter weather sets in. I used Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash to wash her and then applied a coat of Meguiar's NXT, all by hand. I'm very happy with the result. I will do my annual detail next spring. Anyway, here are a few shots of my black beauty.

Looks like garbage most days; actually bothered to love on it that day.

*This is what the interior DID look like*

This is the interior now

Isn't in this picture, but those little kick plates at the bottom match now too.

Went form tan to complete black on hammered brass.
Krylon fusion paint and duplicolor upholster paint. Did the carpets black too. Don't have a picture of that.
