Hopefully I don't get the West Nile Virus now...

Neighbor's 2005 Monte Carlo SS

In short, we were removing some pretty heavy oxidation from the hood of this car. It took 5-6 passes with BOTH a rotary and a random orbital to get the hood looking right.

End result:

^^^ Ultimate compound is some good stuff. I wanted to try M105/205 but couldn't find it locally. I used Ultimate Compound that I had in the garage over the weekend on my Altima that was swirled from wetsanding. It took quite a few passes with my porter cable and an orange pad but I was able to remove about 90% of them. Followed it up with NXT2.0 and then Collinite 845. I'm now set for the winter.

Just spent 9 hours on mine yesterday getting her all ready for Spring.
Washed, clay-bared, poilshed, waxed, and buffed. New wiper blades and rain x. Detailed the rims and put some tire gel on. My interior is always keept spotless so I did not have to do much. Just a quick leather cleaner (once a week), shine on the vinyl, and replaced the cup holder assembly since my previous one broke.
