Swirls in Hood Paint

I have noticed all these swirls go horizontally across my hood paint. If you look at it in the sun the right way, it gets very irritating. Does anyone have any similar problems, if so, how do I get rid of it? It's like a clearish swirl that goes all across my hood in straight horizontal lines..

Check the forums on www.autopia.org and www,detailcity.com Both have just about everything you need to know about detailing from some very experienced people.

But a quick answer would be they are most likely from washing/drying improperly or with wrong or contaminated towels. A good swirl mark remover (Meguiar's #9, 3M brand, etc) may be all you need to remove them. If they're too deep for a SMR, you may need to go with a more aggressive product. But try the LEAST aggressive first.

I really suggest reading the above forums to gain knowledge so you can make better informed decisions on corrective action.

I also hgihly suggest going to Mike Phillips new site at www.showcargarage.com. Mike works for Meguiars and has an amazing wealth of information on detailing. The site is still growing, but contains very good information on the right way to take care of your paint.
