Yellow Dots

No matter what time of day, sometimes these small (mustard colored) dots appear on the surface of my max. I used to think they were some type of bird droppings. Does anyone have any clue as to what they are? Most times they come off easy. Some times they will leave a slight yellow stain. After waxing, the yellow stain comes off.

I get them here in northwest Louisiana, too. And I have an oak tree in my front yard (coincidence maybe). What's stumped me is that I can wash them off my paint, but a yellow stain remains. Then an hour or two after I'm done drying the car, they are gone. Kinda like the sun bleaches them out or something. I've never had to resort to a harsh chemical cleaner because the "stain" just disappears on its own. Maybe they haven't been permanent on mine because of the wax. I don't know what they'd do to bare paint.

Yeah, I get them too here in Md. Much more when I first got the car in the summer. They're hard and tough to get off.
