I just got my baby painted 3 weeks ago and have been cleaning her with has washing. How long should I wait before waxing her? Also, I live off of a dirt road with Chrome 20's and I need to change the brake pads( someone put non ceramic pads on my car). I will change the pads next week, but is that too long before the inside of my chrome will be permenantly blackened? How long should I expect my chromes to keep shining if I clean them EVERYDAY(I have been wiping them off every day since I got them.)?

 

No wax for 40-60 days. I'm waiting for that deadline to pass myself...I would be careful about washing it too. I put a couple light scratches in my new paint washing it...pat it dry...don't rub.

 

I've found that no matter how bad the brake dust it can come off. I use this stuff called white lightning made by car brite. Just spray some on and use a pressure washer on it quickly. If you don't get it off fast, it will start to eat the chrome, so be careful if you use it. Chrome will shine forever if taken care of. Just use an adhesive label remover for any spots or dirt or anything, followed up with glass cleaner, use a microfiber towel for wiping the glass cleaner off and it'll be shiny.
