tinted window cleaning solution

forgive the newbie question, but the search function isnt working for me.

i have tinted windows and i obviously cant use amonia based cleaners on the inside of the window...so what do you guys use?

what brand and name of product?
where to find?
how much?
what do you apply it with?

thanks for any insight. i have been putting off cleaning the inside of my windows for a good while now and something needs to be done thanks again.

I used to use eagle One 20/20 and it's okay, but Plexus is way way way better. Highly recommended.

I agree....nice car! Real clean max you have, Paul. and those 5th gen wheels sure do look awesome on the 4th gen. I use Mothers glass cleaner...........its the easiest to find at my local auto parts store, and its safe for tinted windows, which I have as well. Maximas forever

I thought maybe since the tint film isnt technically glass, that plexus might have actually been a plastic cleaner. I did a search on plexus and people talk about using it to clean the outer portion of their 5th gen headlights and those are plastic.

Yes, that's the stuff. Tints are indeed plastic.

Plexus smells great too...like lemon pledge or something....very nice stuff.

Newspaper is best for windows cuz it leaves no lint or any of that stuff, and helps to prevent streaking. Just leaves that day's Dilbert comic on your fingers

YEP, try it, you'll like it.... it'll ruin your newspaper, and shred it, but who cares... just crumple up one page, spray your cleaner on the windows and rub/wipe it in

Im not sure if newspaper would be a good idea on tint though. I use it on glass (It does do a great job) but it might be too rough and scratch the tint. I've seen people's tints that look sorta like they have swirl marks in them.

It may be fine to use, but I'm not sure I would risk finding out. I'd be more likely to use a microfiber glass cleaning cloth (which I also just bought from autogeek: http://www.autogeek.net/pincobglascl.html) and no, I don't own autogeek stock

I've been using newspaper on tint for about 2 years now and no scratches or anything.
