Santa brought me one for Xmas! I used it because I was so execited, my car was dirty anyway. This thing is amazing. Everything they say in the commercials is true, it makes your car look beautifuel and with no spots! If you were a skeptic about this, go buy it and you will see! PS, I have a dark blue Maxima so I would notice spots on my color, and there is none! GO BUY!!!!!!

Just read a review...this guys said it works really well too but it is quite expensive...The cost of the kit is 29.99 and they guy said you get about 3 washes per bottle of cleaner so its like 10 dollars per wash. Another guy said once you empty out your initial bottle you can buy a refill bottle for like 6 bucks.

Mmmmm...it's like spot free rinse at the carwash I guess. Unless they're doing some really serious deionization/filtration I would imagine you're still going to get water spots = bad. Besides...you have to dry the car to wax/seal it.

I dunno...I don't think I would ever be in a situation where I would not want to dry the car at home. If I don't want to dry the car, it'sprobably because I don't want to wash the car because it's too cold...in which case I'll go spray it off at the carwash. if I wash at home I would always dry it...

it does really work, it is safe for the finish of your car, its acutally safer than regular water because this filters out all the crap chemicals in your water and the soap works good.

The thing I question is this...people over at autopia who have hooked up water filters to their hose lines (I will be doing the same soon) have said that even that doesn't get rid of the spots completely. So it's not just filtering that's going on...it's using some kind of chemical to do...something...I dunno...

I wash my car in the carwash during the winter, first it gets vacumed, then it goes through an automatic carwash then it comes out and 5 or 6 guys are drying it off. It cost $7.75 plus a $2 tip.
it stay's clean for about 4 days and then we get a rain, it gets dirty again, so i wash it every week pretty much.

auto carwash = scratches on your fenders and rims, unless it's totally 100% touchless (aside from the guys with rags drying it off).

and touchless hand washes = $$

better off just washing it yourself... spend some quality time with your car.

i took an engineering class on water and hydraulic engineering, that bottle is probably an equivalent to a Brita filter removing magnesium, calcium, chlorine, and carbonates that reside in hardwater. I saw the commercial on tv and if you remove all teh hardness, it wont leave any spots on the car. not sure if they sell any filter liek this for the garden hose, but this mr clean stuff seems promising, except for the price.

my parents got me one of these things for christmas. I was rather sceptical of it, and had planned on returning it. I think i may keep it for a while now. Once i use it i will let you guys know what i think if this thread is still around.

btw..... Jewel-osco or albersons for the westcoast people, sells the kit for $20.

Really? I checked out Ralphs and they didnt have it...I am afraid to go into an Albertsons because I am afraid of getting attacked by protestors. Last time I went into a VONS I practically got beat down by a picketing sign...

Did your parents buy it in stores or order it?? I remember on the commercial that it said it will be available in stores after a certain date (i think maybe after january) but you have to order off tv now

Unfortunately the towels they use also scratch the clearcoat. Not that I'm any better, I still use carwashes since I don't have a driveway or garage. In the summer I handwash and detail the car (takes about 4-5 hours) since my friend's driveway is available then.

i used to go to the carwash and use the maual thing, but after i while i think that would eat off my paint (the high pressure hose) so i just use my mr. clean thing now, it works great, i love it. i think you should all at least give it a try, if you don't like it or whatever, or u just wanted to try it, u can return it, look on their website.
