look at my engine bay







What can I do to clean it up and make it look a lot nicer?

blower? In person it looks horrible. Especially all the wires veverywhere in the top right portion. Leaves and stuff in there now, and dust/dirt. The vi is very dirty too.

Yea, that VI shure does look dirty

It look pretty good to me!!

I'll show you pics of my friend 97(went he'll getting it out) and you'll see that your's really clean

May I suggest putting that blue wire under your fstb?

Run the wires so they look more stock (like the blue one around the shock tower). You'd be surprised how organizing wires and hoses will improve overall appearance.
Do a general engine bay wash (instructions are on this board and several others, but basically use minimal rinse water necessary, and don't drench alternator, compressor, etc...). Use a cleaning chemical dependent on the needs (car wash soap if just generally dusty; orange degreaser or Simple Green type on greasey crud). Different sized brushes will be very helpful. Blot up water to help dry.
You could polish/wax paint, and dress hoses/wire harnesses with dressing.
Once clean, it is easy to maintain if you just wipe things down about once a month or so.

Hey Dave, long time no see

exactly what Dave says.....What I like to do sometimes is use a can of compressed air to get out some water where a dry terry towel can't get. You can buy a pack of 4 at Costco for $11.
