You really can't clean a clay bar. All you can do is kinda knead and stretch it and fold it over to hide the dirty parts. This process can be done many times. In fact, it should be folded many times during each claying session. The bar should be able to do your car 3-5 times this way.

The clay bar won't last forever and can't be cleaned, but.... I use Clay Magic. I cut it into thirds and use only 1 third at a time and store in an air tight container. I use each third, at most, 3 times before I discard it. As the bar gets dirty, fold it over (like reusing play dough) until you have a clean surface again. Keep doing this as you clean your car. After 2 or 3 uses, it gets too contaminated. This works for me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. lol Bottom line, if the bar is too dirty, toss it and get a new one. Hope this helps

When I get a claybar i cut it into 1/4ths and then flatten them out to the original size of the clay bar. Its basically like have 4 clay bars.

Man dont risk it. A dirty clay bar can cause serious damage. Isnt a $25,000 car worth going to Autozone and picking up a $10 new clay bar?
