Pearl White Max.....95, but new front end. Use different waxes for diff panels?

Wow, I didn't know that detailing was so involved..........thought it was wash, wax, & done. I have some swirl marks in my 95 SE, and bought some Meguiar's Scratch X for the initial oxidation/swirl removal. I recently had my car broken into (Body shop replaced the entire dash, middle console), and the bodyshop inadvertantly jumped Max into a workbench (car was still in first gear). Anyway, they had to replace the hood, front bumper & fog lights, so I essentially have a new front end. I shouldn't use the scratch-x on these new parts, right? I'll be claying the rest of the car, should those parts be included? Anyway, I recently read that Carnubas should be used on darker colored cars, and Polymers on lighter ones.......I just purchased Meguiar's Clear Coat (paste) wax last night, and want to know if I should get something else. Meguiar's #26? Anyway, can I follow up the wax with a coat of s100 for the high-gloss, or will anything else I apply strip the initial coat? Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks!!!!

No, don't use Scratch-X on freshly painted, new parts unless they're scratched/swirled. It's "use as needed".

I wouldn't bother claying those parts. Claying removes fallout and I doubt there'd be any yet. Check it just in case anyway.

That thing you read about carnauba/synthetic wax is just an opinion. Try one of them yourself and see if you're happy with it. In reality you can use any kind of wax with any kind of finish. Feel free to play with putting various waxes on top of others, but just be sure to use non-cleaner waxes and just make sure the paint is nearly perfect, because at this point you're talking about very subtle differences.
