Help for my friend, he's got a 2000 SE with 122K, needs some TLC

My friend got a 2000 SE with 122K miles on it, its black with tan cloth interior. Now, it was a company car for his Dad's company and the previous took pretty much crap care of it. There are store chips and scratches all over the place. Last night we got some color wax and some NXT and went to work on with that. I also used some of my clay on some of the really bad parts of the car. Anyway, we got it looking a little better and concealed some of the scratches but it still looks kinda cruddy, you guys got any opinions or suggestions that we might be able to do to get the paint looking a little better? And a paint job is out of the question.

Depending on how deep the scratches/swirls are you will need a rotary. Especially on a black car, sometimes there is nothing you can do by hand that will make a great difference. As far as stone chips, nothing will take that out besides paint. Do you have any tools available to you? I'm not sure how far you are from Rockaway, but I can give you a price quote on it if you want me to take care of it. www.atdetail.com

Sure, what pads and products do you plan on using? Rotary's can be dangerous if use improperly. I suggest if you have an old car or painted scrap panel you learn on that so get a feel for how long it takes to burn through the paint. You don't want to make that mistake on the maxima. Also, unless you are perfect you will need a porter cable or cyclo buffer to follow or else your paint will have halos in it.
