Car got keyed

Hi, I just found out this morning that my 97 Pearl White SE got keyed on the hood and all the way down the passenger side. Its pretty deep because you can feel it with your finger nail. Besides the body shop, is there any other way to cover it up or make it less obvious. Do those touch up paints work for those kind of scratches? Thanks

It can, but it will involve wetsanding and then polishing to remove the marring. Another thought would be to find a shop that specializes in touchups and they will take care of that for you.

I have about a 6-inch squiggly key mark on my right rear passenger door and the detail shop I go to can't wet sand it out. They suggested I take it to a local place called Chips Away that specializes in bumper scuffs, rock chips and this kind of thing. They told me they would blend paint in and around the area for C$175. A body shop wanted C$700 and they would have painted the entire door. I am contemplating going the $175 route but I am worried about the paint matching and not being dull or flat. The car is Black Emerald. It might be referred to as Evergreen in the US as it looks really dark (sparkly) green on a bright day and black on a dull/rainy day.

I would like to track down some people who have had keying damage repaired at this place first.
