What did I do to my floor mat?!

For some reason, when I get in my car, my heel diggs into the drivers side floor mat. So now I have a large, gray, flattened carpet spot? Is there anyway I can bring back a "new look" to it? Are the factory mats that lousy? If I replace them, any advice on that front?

This also happened to my floor mats. I replaced them with brand new ones, and the same thing happened. I think it's just part of normal wear and tear. I wish there was a way to prevent it from happening because it does make the floor mat look dirty and ugly.

Well, my driver side mat it like that also. Someone else here said that that was happening to them. They had them replaced because the car was still under warranty. Mine is also, but I'm not sure where exactly I should bring it to because I purchased it used. Not sure if I can just bring it to any nissan service station and have them give me new ones and replace the warped rotors for free.

i would honestly replace them... and buy plastic covers for the mat... or you can just keep what you have now and buy the plastic cover.

that's how i have it now... to prevent further wear and tear on my oem mats.
