Undercarriage Spray

Has anyone used this type of product? Supposed to make stuff like the wheel wells black. Griot's has a product specifically for this, but I haven't ordered any yet. I'm figuring it's similar to 303 or Armorall?

Has anyone had any luck with any other stuff? Even after washing them, my wheel wells look gray compared to the black tires and paint. It looks like cr@p.

Im in the same boat as you, mine are a crappy light gray too. Go to autopia and do a search, they had a bunch of posts on it. I guess it's supposed to be a messy job.

they're grey because they're still dirty, get in there and clean them and they'll be black again. I use meguiars APC+ or simple green. Cover them in some cheapo armor all stuff. I use armor alls tire foam for them. Not going to waste some good 303 or vinylex on them.

Regular old Armorall works great on wheelwells. I just spray it in there and let it dry.

rsly33 - I'll check autopia. Thanks.

Sqard - I did scrub them and they were still gray. But I just used the car soap, not Simple Green.

I was not sure about using Armor All. I don't use that anywhere on my car because of the way it used to react badly with interior vinyl. And I surely wouldn't want to use anything that would not dry completely otherwise it would just attract more dirt.

Give ArmorAll a try you'll be surprised. I don't use it on anything else in my car but wheelwells. My wheelwells stay black for several days.
