Steering wheel help...

At the top of my SE "leather wrapped" sterring wheel, I have rubbed the gloss/finish off of it.

I have tried all sorts of leather cleaners and conditioners with no help.

Any suugestions???

I have the same problem. Once you break through the outer coating on the leather I don't think there is anything you can do for it since it is physically damaged/worn. So forget about using any kind of leather product.

You can probably remove the wrap if you're handy, and get some kind of specialty leather place to refinish it, but a lot of people just go with this route instead: www.wheelskins.com

I don't know if the web site bman gave you is expensive. Maybe you can just try those leather steering wheel covers at the car parts stores. Some of them are pretty nice. One of my buddies has them, and they feel great.

I want the most sotck looking possible. I will look at a few auto parts stores.

If you get it redone, let me know hte price. My leather is wearing out at hte top and I have one of those wood grain steering wheel covers and I don't like it.
